Great culmination of a wonderful series. The setting in Jamaica was perfect (and different for a Regency novel) and I loved the character of Anna. The history of Jamaica during this regency time period was interesting and well presented in the story even though the issues of slavery and poor treatment of people in different classes were atrocious. The characters were all well developed and woven together. Of the three books in this series, the first one and this one were my favorites. All of the three major characters were presented in all of the stories and held their own in roles that really fit the personality the author developed for them. Definitely a series worth reading.Tags : Simply Anna (Regency Romance) - Kindle edition by Jennifer Moore. Simply Anna Regency Romance edition by Jennifer Moore Romance eBooks Reviews
I have enjoyed this series but I found this book stretched my credulity and patience. I thought the depiction of the slave trade was well done. But I found I could not cope with the jungle trek, pirates etc. a bridge too far that caused me to lose interest.
Five Stars
Jennifer Moore tells a great story and her background details are extremely accurate, I love her Books and hope that she keeps writing them.
Jennifer Moore is amazing! I have loved all of her books! So, so good! I love Anna and Philips story! So sweet, so tender, and it's not lacking suspense. It is so well done. What else can I say? It's a great book! I'm just sad that I'm done already. I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book to come out and it went to fast. I may just have to re-read this series all over again)
I love the the writings of Jennifer Moore. This story was amazing, I learned many new things in our history about the area and how things were done.
This story is full of adventure with pirates playing a big role, also about slavery on the islands at that time. There is also the amazing transformation of a man raised in England's society and love found in an unknown.
I highly recommend this clean reading.
Phillip crosses the sea to get away from his lost love & pride. Anna finds herself without a clue as to who she really is. Will finding each other heal their wounds? This historic romance novel has wonderful characters who are kind hearted and belong together. Read to find out who gets their happily ever after!!
This book is awesome. I'm noticing this author likes to hit pretty deep issues, in this book she deals with slavery, in the previous one the horrors of war. Three books are slightly graphic with these issues but are well written and add well too the plot and the charactors of the hero's.
She is a great writer.
Simply Anna is a story about one of the minor characters introduced in Becoming Lady Lockwood. It's nice to read a story taken in the 1800s where England is not the scene of the story. This story takes place in Jamaica on a plantation where the heroine has temporary amnesia. Jennifer Moore is one of those writers who in my opinion is a good clean story teller. Will definitely look forward to more of her works.
