I actually had my eye on another of Ms. Water's books - Code Name: Ghost but decided to try Too Grand For Words first and I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed. The heroine, Moira Viterra, leads a crew for the Canadian Coast Guard on a daily basis. The hero, Steven Porter, is a Hollywood mogul, well known as a player in the industry. Moira and Steven meet in Las Vegas at a blackjack table. Moira is there for some much needed downtime for herself and her team. Moira also happens to be a well known writer who prefers to lead the life of a recluse even though her books are well known and popular. Steven finds out who Moira is but decides to keep his background tucked away for the five days they have together in Las Vegas. Steven begins to fall for Moira and knows he's found his soul mate. Moira is skittish, she has a brief bad marriage as part of her history. She also believes that she has a dark cloud over her head no matter where she goes.
I love that they are an older couple - she's 39 and he's 45. You know they seen and experienced life from the opposite ends of the spectrum. The two main characters are well developed as is some of the secondary characters. Moira is strong self reliant with so much integrity that you wish she could be a role model for all of the female characters in the world of fictional romance reads! Steven is just gobsmacked when he realizes Moira saved his life 7 years prior when a yacht he was on caught on fire and it was her voice that led the yacht to safety. Her voice has haunted him for 7 years and he regrets never finding her. Steven never thought he would find "the one".
How their relationship develops is well written. There are so many surprises that you just have to keep reading to find out where it all leads. If a reader needs instant gratification, this book may not be for you. But if you appreciate a well written romance with angst and heat with two slightly older main characters, then you're in for a treat. Definitely worth buying and re-reading!

Love this story, first of all the main chick in this book is 40 year old and the guy is 45, now I thought that this would put me off this story but it Didnt. Great read great author
Natasha Waters book Too Grand for Words will keep you up at night, just to see what comes next between Moira and Steven. Strong likable characters and great story adventures with twists and turns that keep you guessing ! I was hooked from the first page to the last !
I love this new author. Her stories have depth, her characters are well developed, and she has some great sex scenes. The only fault I can find with her in this book is she doesn't know when to quit. All the stuff after the proposal should have been wrapped up short and sweet with some of it simply dropped, or perhaps summarized in a short epilogue.
OMG!!! First book I read by Natasza Waters (this is also the first book she wrote) and I LOVED it!!! Absolutely too grand for words! Just when I thought that the story couldn't get any better or any more captivating, it does!!! I positively adored Steven and his devotion and deep love for Moira. Steven and Moira make such beautiful music together; they are destined to be together. . . Kismet! I highly recommend this book!!! A keeper!
I love that Natasza incorporates her profession in her books. This was another romantic adventure with two people from totally different world. They encountered a lot of danger on their wa y to happiness. Love does conquer these obstacles. I only wish tHe story had gone on just a little longer. I don't like to give things away so will just say I would like to have known what the end of 9 months delivered!
There were many things I adored about this book. The first being the strong characters. The second was the author's ability to paint pictures with her words.
I've never been to Las Vegas, but after reading Too Grand for Words, I feel as if I have. While reading I could hear the bleeps and dings of the machines, hear the people talking in the background, smell the scents in the air, saw the lights, the sights--I saw Vegas in my mind through the author's wonderful descriptions. She transported me from my living room to a place I've never been, and that is the sign of a brilliant author.
I've greedily devoured all of Natasza Water's books, and will grab her next release the second it becomes available.
Steven knew he was missing something in his life but didn't figure it out until Moira and her team of Canadian Coast Guards land the Vegas for a much needed rest. She sits at the same Black Jack table and everything changes.

Moira sees an absolutely gorgeous man but doesn't put all of the hints together that were dropped around. When she does find out who he is, she decides that she isn't enough for him.

So Steven pulls in and Moira pushes away. Moira learns that she was instrumental in saving his life 7 years earlier when a yacht he was on caught fire. Her voice is what Steven has heard since then and he realizes that 7 years ago he should have found her.

Moira has been hurt badly by her ex-husband and trust is a big issue for her. She knows that Steven has secrets and he isn't answering her questions.

I loved the give and take. Moira is a strong woman professionally but vulnerable outside of work. Steven helps her build her confidence while being patient and reassuring her of his love.

I can't wait to read more about them in the series.
